Participant details

Participant

This screen shows a single participant along with the performances and absences logged for them. The title at the top carries the participant's name. You reach this view by tapping a participant row — both in the timeslot screen and in the module's overall participants overview.

Layout of the view

As long as both records fit on the screen together, the sections Performances and Absences (and, if enabled, Webserver) appear one below the other. If space no longer suffices — for instance with long lists or on small displays — the view automatically switches to a selector: a segmented control then appears in the bottom toolbar, letting you switch between Performances, Absences, and Webserver; only one category is visible at a time. If neither performances nor absences exist, the hint “No information yet" appears instead.

Performances

The Performances section logs the ratings given to the participant via the thumb symbols in the timeslot screen. Each row shows the date, the name, and a thumb symbol on the right: thumbs up (green) for a positive, thumbs down (red) for a negative performance rating.

Above the list is the overall performance — highlighted in its own, gray-tinted row. On the left it summarizes the ratio as “⌀ positive:negative over N dates", on the right stands the calculated numeric value with two decimal places. The value results from the number of positive ratings minus the number of negative ones, divided by the number of performance days of all participants of the module. It therefore always lies between -1 and +1: +1 means rated positive on every performance day throughout, -1 negative throughout, 0 a balanced or empty log. Because the denominator is the shared number of performance days and not the participant's own ratings, the values of different participants of the same module are directly comparable; anyone not rated on a given day counts as neutral for that day. If there are no performances yet, the hint “No performances" appears in place of the section.

Absences

The Absences section brings together chronologically all the days on which the participant was missing. It mixes two sources: the participant's own absences (set via the eye symbol in the timeslot screen) and the cancellations of the timeslot the participant is assigned to (which affect all participants of the timeslot jointly). The name in the row reveals the origin: it carries either the participant's name or the timeslot's. On the right, each row shows the excused or unexcused symbol; excused absences do not count toward the warning thresholds.

Whether timeslot cancellation and own absence are coupled you set in Settings under Rules. If the coupling is active (default), a timeslot cancellation already covered by an own absence on the same date does not appear twice — the day then stands in the list only once. Without coupling, both origins are shown separately. If there are neither own absences nor timeslot cancellations, the hint “No absences" appears.

Edit mode

The Edit button at the top right appears as soon as performances or absences exist; with no entries there is nothing to edit. In edit mode every entry can be adjusted:

You change the date via a date picker that appears in the row in place of the date text. For performances the first module date is the lower bound, for absences the last module date is the upper bound.

You toggle the rating of a performance between positive and negative via the thumb symbol on the right; the excused status of an absence via the symbol on the right. If you change a timeslot cancellation, this applies to all participants of that timeslot — so you move or excuse a shared absence in a single step.

You can delete a row via the Edit button or, outside edit mode, by swiping left. On deletion the entry is written back to its correct source according to its origin; if you remove today's entry, the participant or the timeslot counts as present again and the corresponding symbol turns gray once more.

Webserver

The Webserver section appears only if data exchange with the web server is enabled in Settings under Webserver; by default it is off and the section stays hidden. The heading is tappable and expands and collapses the area — its state is remembered across app restarts and starts collapsed. A chevron on the right indicates the state.

When expanded, the section shows a large QR code and, below it, the access link in plain text. Both encode the same web address, through which the participant can later retrieve their own information — module, timeslots, performances, and absences — in the browser. This web page is part of the Timeslotter web project: the app transmits the data to the web server, and the actual presentation in the browser is delivered by the server. The QR code is deliberately kept large and sharp so that the participant can conveniently photograph it.

The link is assembled from several parts taken from the Webserver settings: the host is taken from the server address stored there (from the Keychain; with no entry, timeslotter.de applies), and the scheme follows the same SSL switch — on yields https, off yields http. If you toggle SSL in Settings, the QR code here updates accordingly. The module and participant identifiers in the link come from the respective UIDs, so the link points precisely to this one participant in this module.

More menu

Via the More menu (three-dot symbol) at the top right you reach this help. The Edit button sits next to the menu; several toolbar actions are separated into their own capsules.
